Use the instructions below to connect your Valice Basic or Business Email to a mobile device or desktop email client like Outlook or Mac Mail.

Make sure that your email is active and that you have the proper MX entry in your DNS:
Type: MX
Name: @
Preference: 10
Exchange: mx01.e.valice.com
and that you know your email username and password by checking your email through your webmail (click here for information on webmail).
You should also make sure you have an SPF record in your DNS to ensure deliverability:
Type: TXT
Name: @
TXT Data/Value: v=spf1 include:spf.e.valice.com -all
Email Configuration Settings
- Username: Your Full Email Address
- Password: The password set in webmail
- Server/Host Name: mail.e.valice.com
Configuration steps for devices and mail clients will vary but your mail settings will not.
POP/IMAP General Configuration Settings
Use the following settings to configure any email client or mobile device when you are using IMAP or POP3 setups/connections.
Mail server username: your email address
Incoming mail server: mail.e.valice.com
Outgoing mail server: mail.e.valice.com (If you see a question that says does your server requires authentication, you need to checkmark or select the TLS option)
Supported incoming mail protocols:
POP3/s (port 995 w/ SSL encryption)
IMAP/s (port 993 w/ SSL encryption)
Supported outgoing mail protocols:
SMTP/s (port 587 w/ TLS encryption) Must use TLS for secure connection.
Outlook 2016 and Newer
Mail server username: your email address
Incoming mail server: mail.e.valice.com
Port: 993
Security: SSL/TLS
Secure Password Authentication (SPA): Check this box
Outgoing mail server: mail.e.valice.com
Port: 465
Security: SSL/TLS
Secure Password Authentication (SPA): Check this box
