Using FTP

FTP Client

If your subscription includes a Plesk control panel, you can setup FTP users in Plesk. In order to connect to your website using FTP, you will need an FTP client. We recommend Filezilla because it works on both Mac and PC. Below is a link to download and install:

Configure Your FTP Connection Settings

Once you have Filezilla installed, you can configure it to connect to your website files. In Filezilla, click “File” > “Site Manager” and setup/save your connection settings for quick access moving forward.

  • Protocol: FTP
  • Host: Use “your Server name/FTP host” found in the “Hosting Information” tab of your correlated service in my.valice.com
  • Encryption: Use explicit FTP over TLS if available, or Require explicit FTP over TLS
  • Logon Type: Normal
  • User: Configured in your Plesk Control Panel under “FTP Access”
  • Password: Configured in your Plesk Control Panel under “FTP Access”
