Emails Delayed when Checking with Gmail App

When checking your Valice email using IMAP or POP in Gmail as your mail client, users may run into delays receiving email due to Gmail’s “Throttling.”

To manually force a refresh and check for new mail:

  1. Login to Gmail and navigate to “Settings” (gear icon in upper right corner) > click “See all settings” >click the “Accounts” tab
  2. Where you see your Valice hosted domain email under “Check mail from other accounts” you’ll see the last time it checked mail
  3. Next to that you should see a link that says “Check mail now” and click that to retrieve any new emails
