Plesk control panels include a Backup Manager feature. The instructions below will guide you through taking a point-in-time backup and scheduled backups.
From your Valice Account (my.valice.com), connect to your Plesk Control Panel
Backup
This will take an immediate backup of your files and/or website.
- In the Backup Manager, click “Backup.”
- Configure the backup settings
- Where to store the backup (on your subscription or in a personal (external) FTP you’ve configured outside of your hosting subscription)
- What Content to backup (“Domain configuration and content” will include all content on the subscription)
- The email notification will include any errors that might have happened in the backup
Scheduled Backups
This will allow you to configure scheduled backups in daily, weekly, or monthly intervals and specify when the backups will be taken.
- Choose the time and frequency of your backups.
- Choose the number of backup to keep in the repository. NOTE: You must have the disk space to support these backups as they will consume your hosting subscription resources.
- The email notification will include any errors that might have happened in the backup
Restore a Backup
You may want to restore a website from a Backup taken from the Backup Manager.
- From the Backup Manager, click on the name of the backup you want to restore.
- Identify how you want to resolve conflicts, enter an email for errors and notifications, and click “Restore.”
